Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would only recommend taking this course with Ladera Barbee, she is an amazing professor and her lectures really allow you to understand the material. She provides plenty of example. I also recommend taking an SI class with it, it truely helps.

    Course highlights:

I learned about derivatives, a lot of the course was review on things I had already learned, but I big part of the class was about derivatives.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep all your quizzes and exams since the final is cumulative and she takes questions from midterms and quizzes.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

As a business major, you'll have to take this class unless you took calculus previously and passed the AP test. It's pretty easy though, much easier than when I took Calculus AB in high school. Think of it as "Calculus Lite."

    Course highlights:

I was lucky that I got Professor Barbee as a teacher because some of my friends struggled a lot because their teacher wasn't good. Professor Barbee is very easy to learn from, she's clear when she's explaining the lessons, and she's willing to re-explain if necessary. I learned math obviously, but it was helpful in applying math to business concepts I would have to face in the future. Also, the quizzes are short and easy and the exams weren't too bad. I have some friends who thought they were hard, but for me personally I thought they were easy.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

If you hate math or weren't very good at it, don't worry about it too much. Business Calculus is known to be easier than Calculus I. It's not too heavy on the math because Business Calculus is exactly as it sounds: calculus in business terms. For me, it was by far easier because even though I've always hated word problems, I actually understood the business concepts (such as supply and demand) which made it easier for me to apply to when I learned Business Calculus. Just make sure to play attention of course and don't be afraid to ask questions! Also, for exams, they're a huge part of your grade, but just try your best because partial credit counts.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I love barbee ladera as a teacher because she taught well and told us her reasoning for doing certain things. Also, take an SI class if you can. Saved my life.

    Course highlights:

Highlight was the large portion of your grade that comes from tests.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take an SI course with it, you learn about the tests and you learn the material better.
