    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I definitely recommend this course to other students. HCA 417 deals with Technology, Ethics, and Society. The course really makes you think about one's own ethical lens (i.e. how do we perceive actions/decisions as ethical?). You then take a step further and begin to discuss the advancement of technology in society and how technological advancements sometimes bring about ethical dilemmas. The question then becomes are you equipped and prepared to handles such ethical dilemmas? This is a great though provoking class that will aid individuals not only in their personal life, but also, in their future careers!

    Course highlights:

I learned that even though technological developments and advancements often make one's life more convenient (take cars or cellphones for example), these same technological advancements can sometimes bring up ethical dilemmas within society (i.e. environmental factors or social interaction factors). That being said, it is our responsibility as individuals to continually educate oneself and be aware of the ethical dilemmas that could arise. Only then will myself and others be prepared to face these ethical dilemmas.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't take this course for granted! It is important to be ethically sound, not only in our personal lives, but also, in your future careers. Strive to really learn from this course. The discussion post questions really stretch you and make you think. Additionally, converse with your classmates. Engage in conversation with them to learn their sometimes opposing view points or thoughts. You often learn from them.
