    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it gives you a taste of real world problems with politics and what events occurred throughout history that created the laws that are in action today.

    Course highlights:

You learn about major Supreme Court cases and about the process of a Presidential election and factors behind it.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study 2 weeks before the test since the tests consist of memorizing definitions and cases. If you have a good memory then you don't need 2 weeks. Another advice is to listen to the professor as he points out what will be on the test as he's lecturing. Flashcards will really come in handy for this course.

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Recommend because he gives a much more interesting, broader perspective of political science as well as the foundations of our nation.

    Course highlights:

Highlights were the lectures and reading A People's History by Howard Zinn.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Buy the audio book for Zinn, and study for the exams by writing out paragraphs about how key words and concepts relate to the readings and lectures (as this is the format of the exams).

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

The Professor is fairly biased and tends to rant rather than inform students about the material.

    Course highlights:

I learned a great deal about racial issues in california.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to do the reading, he expects references to the reading on the tests.
