    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Concepts are explained in a coherent manner, and all resources on campus are within student reach.

    Course highlights:

Before this class, I was rusty with my understanding on ionization energies and the trends they followed across the periodic table. After taking it, I became more knowledgeable not only on said topic, but also the emission spectrum and how the dynamics of electrons behave in their corresponding shells.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Do all "End-of-Chapter" questions and go over key equations and concepts that seem too difficult. There is no excuse as to why the material should be difficult, so reach out and ask for help!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Never, ever, ever disregard office hours! She's very helpful and will cover any topic you need. Do practice problems- they'll help for tests. And devote time to MasteringChem, it's worth it!
