Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Communication majors typically struggle with math, however this course was explained step by step and it truly is an easy transition into the math world.

    Course highlights:

I learned that although communication majors strive in speaking and learning the basis of theories, we also can succeed when it comes to numbers. I learned basic skills that can help enhance with math such as percentages and other problems. This class demonstrated that communication students can do presentations as well as solve problems.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Try your best, the professors understand that math is not our strong point but with effort you can pass this class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend that you take this core course with Dr. Russell. She assigns really helpful activities about every two weeks. Make sure you attend each class session because there it's harder to learn the subject on your own. She's very approachable so take advantage of office hours.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to use the skills I had previously learned in my statistics class in a more practical situation. Learning how to use the charts was actually kind of like a fun game.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Buying the textbook isn't necessary if you attend each class session. Make sure you don't talk out of turn because the professor's explanations of the subject are highly important. This is a mandatory Communications Major requirement, but once you listen to how passionate Dr. Russell feels about it, you'll learn to like it.
