Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This was a fantastic course that introduces the newcomers to all of the different types of music that you will learn about during your time at CSULB as a music major. In one semester, you get a summary of the different eras of music from the time of Gregorian chants to the latest and most out their new music. As you continue as a music major, you will take courses specific to each era, so by taking this course you will get an idea of what's to come.

    Course highlights:

You get to listen to a lot of music. I know when I went in, I had not heard of most of the music we listened to, so it was a great way to expand my knowledge of all the different types of music that are out there. It gave me a starting place to explore other works for each of the eras.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you study the listening, you will be quizzed on the different pieces you listen to in class.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The teacher has many lectures and does not grade fairly. He also tells his sudents about last minuet exams. He also says there will be certain things on an exa and ends up not testing us on anything he said he would

    Course highlights:

How to present about music ... not really though

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Do not take this professor. If you have a chance to take this class with someone else, do it
