    | Would highly recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course, mainly because the teacher is phenomenal! The class is broken up into thirds and exams are not cumulative. Students only need to remember highlighted pieces, which makes learning more fun and easier. The exams are mostly memorization based but there are no curveball question.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about art from this course. The professor, Dr. Simms, is very thorough in his explanations. He does not spare any details when talking about how large movements began or how artworks became popular. If you are an art major, this course helps explain certain topics and ideas that are important to modern day art and better informs you on the styles of classical pieces. Furthermore, even if you are not an art major, this course helps you become more culturally aware and sparks enjoyment in art.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to make flashcards for the exams. Put important information on the back side and have your friends read the information while you guess the piece. Remember titles, dates, artists, and locations. If you know the location or date of a piece, analyzing the art is much easier since their are overlapping ideas found between artworks.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course is very well-organized and the guidelines are very clear.

    Course highlights:

The most interesting section was about Benini and his beautifully life-like sculptures.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

As long as you read over the notes and connect-the-dots between time periods and artworks, the class should be very smooth.
