Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because every career can potentially result in writing a research paper. This course was useful in providing different methods of applying research to a study. It also was insightful about why the FCS program is an unbrella of careers. Most importantly, there is a community project that gives you the opportunity to meet individuals with real life experience in FCS careers.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to use research to create and support a product for a non-profit group. We also learned the foundations of FCS and why it is an umbrella for several careers that are seemingly contradictory when they really are not. We learned how to properly cite, research, and use different sources such as endnote to make the process more expedient. Most importantly we learned various research methods and how to apply them to different situations.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Create a calendar and make sure to finish everything on time, so that you have sufficient time to produce a great service learning project.
