This class was tough.
You would have to take this course if you are pursuing a Mechanical or Civil engineering major. I really liked it specially because it gives an insight of how an object supports its weight and how it is distributed.
Learning about centroid, inertia and shield forces was the main purpose of the course and our professor told us it would be use in the follow up course. I learn how forces distribute in a object, how to calculate Forces and Momentum and how to locate the center of an weird shaped objects.

Advice for students:
Really pay attention and do at least 70% of the problems in the book even if they aren't assigned. If the professor goes over a problem in class do that problem over and over again understanding the concept and look for problems in the book similar to that one. It's all about understanding and practicing it.
