Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would really recommend taking this course. It builds upon the basic theories of abnormal psychology and develops a definition of that same topic. It is very informative.

    Course highlights:

To be more open minded. As a society we are taught that drug and alcohol addition are not mental illnesses, but choices. Abnormal psychology classifies them as mental illnesses and addresses how we should treat each.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take the class. Learning about illnesses that plague our society is never going to not be beneficial.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Very interesting course where all kinds of mental illnesses and conditions are briefly described.

    Course highlights:

Every week was a whole new chapter using the DSM (Diagnostic statistical manual of mental disorders) and it was practical and realistic to what we may encounter in our lives with other people. I learned that it is never good to assume a diagnosis based on some very common symptoms, because there is a slew of things that it could be, and a professional diagnosis is better than self diagnosing.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read to understand and apply the concepts, not just memorize facts. The facts won't get you very far if you don't understand how it is relevant and how to try to figure certain problems out.
