    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Moore's summer class of Financial Management was difficult, but fair. I really enjoyed a mix between finance and philosophy, too! The class was engaging, applicable, and participation was encouraged - which made asking questions that much easier. The Professor was quick to respond to e-mail, but I cannot speak to office hours as I never went to see him outside of class.

    Course highlights:

A really great component of this course was the use of the Bloomberg terminals. We were given hands-on experience, navigating through the different codes to analyze the performance of various companies on the market. We also had to take the Bloomberg BMC course, which is a nice line on the resume and helpful for a person going into finance.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are going to take this course in the summer, have the discipline to do the homework before class, as much as possible. The problems on the homework were similar to the quizzes, so studying ahead of time was incredibly beneficial (unlike so many classes where the required reading is almost "optional").
