    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class is a great way to learn about deaf culture. Taking this class has encouraged me into getting involved with volunteering in Disability Awareness Programs.

    Course highlights:

I discovered that more people need to be aware of the disabilities people face in our society. Many people do not realize they are discriminating against them, due to the fact that they lack awareness of the facts and experiences these people have. I admired this class because every time I attended, the professor would give us an assignment they let us imagine what it would be like to experience having a disability; while living in a society that does not have complete awareness of this.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to fully comprehend everything that is taught in this course, one must have empathy. Without it, it would be extremely difficult to understand their experiences.
