Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Hussey gives excellent lectures. He understands that the mechanics of state politics may bore some students, so he keeps us entertained with short clips, funny photos, and his overall dry wit throughout the class period. This makes the topics even easier to learn.

    Course highlights:

The course highlights the responsibilities of state government compared to the federal government. I learned all of the most important positions beginning from Governor of the State all the way down to the State Treasurer and each of their responsibilities. I also learned the major departments of the state, such as transportation, education, health and public service, and the budget and responsibilities associated with them.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you attend every single class. You will learn more through his lectures than you will reading the book. He makes concepts easy to understand and maps them out in a more memorable way.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Great instructor, uses current political issues as examples of what he is teaching.

    Course highlights:

Learned a lot more about the inner workings of California state government and history.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Readings aren't necessary if you show up, take notes, and participate in class discussions.
