    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Personally, I enjoy learning about what is currently going on in our society in specific racism. This class was very well taught and structured. Of course, there were times where conversations would be pretty intense due to the topic but I feel it is something that many need to take. Not a lot of people are educated or understand that racism is still more than alive in today's society.

    Course highlights:

We read 2 books and 1 article and they all went into depth on the history of racism until the present day. We spoke about every race and explained how being "color-blind" doesn't make you "not racist." Being racist or prejudice is what is affecting today's society. For example having our current president in the white house has brought out, even more, hate towards Muslims, African-Americans, and Hispanics as well. Taking this course gives you a whole different insight on some topics that many feel uncomfortable talking about such as white privilege.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend you take this class with an open mind. It is such a great class that can give you so much knowledge that maybe you can change your perspective on some situations. Being open to seeing how real and serious racism is can be a start to making a change.
