    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Super fun class, very easy to understand. Take this if you need a GPA boost. If you listen to the lecture and try your best at the debates, you /WILL/ pass this class. There's no homework, and the textbook only costs $10-$20. Professor Pate is knowledgeable and kind, and the class is hardly ever boring.

    Course highlights:

It's a lot of fun to call your mom out on her straw man argument fallacy.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to Target, buy the "Superfight" card game. Play the game with your debate partner and try to use the skills and knowledge you learned in class. 100% you will do better on the in-class debates because of it.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This was a great class. Pate taught us all we needed to know about a debate, the do's and not to do's. During our first debate, he helped us for future debates pointing out fallacies and when someone is trying to target the opponent instead of debate. This course helped me become more confortable with being in front of a croud and speaking.

    Course highlights:

I learned that in debates, you look more professional talking calmly as you try to share your point of the debate.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be confortable, be yourself. Listen to his lectures to understand what should be done during a debate.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because it helps people to get over their shyness of speaking in public. Also it is an entertaining class when you get to watch other students arguing in front of class when they really get into the debate.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to debate, and how to prove points to make my stance heard. Also, I learned how to look at both sides of a a topic/argument, it teaches you to see the positive and negative.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you take this course I recommend you read the book, because although we did debate, we still take tests on the terms and things in the book.
