Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend this course. Coming from a non-marketing background, it was an eye-opener to learn that there's more to marketing than what meets the eye. I learned to map services, understand customer expectations and develop service and customer focused relationship marketing strategies that lead to strong service brands. An emphasis is also placed on the whole organization and how effective marketing and customer focus must be coordinated across multiple functions.

    Course highlights:

As a healthcare manager, it is essential that I know how their customers make decisions and how to use marketing strategy to influence those decisions. The course gave me a deeper understanding of how can benefit by creating and delivering value to its customers and stakeholders, and the necessary skills in applying the analytical concepts and tools of marketing to such decisions as segmentation and targeting, branding, pricing, distribution, and promotion.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Try to read the required chapter readings ahead of time. Participate in learning team discussions and gain insights from team members with strong marketing and business backgrounds.
