Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Learning medical terminology and where the words are from helps with understanding why certain words are used.

    Course highlights:

I really liked the book that was used. It had a CD with flashcards and audio to help listen to how the words are supposed to be pronounced. I also appreciated the microphone recording so I could hear the difference between what I hear and what I say.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Just put in the practice and work. The course isn't really hard, it is just a matter of putting in the time.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course was very difficult due to all of the medical terms that were given in each chapter of the text book. However there was something called Audio Ace, which was used for the students to give audio responses to discussion questions. Some of the students were having trouble getting the audio ace to work on the computer. This was very frustrating . Instead of taking the points off for not doing the audio part of the discussion, Professor Pierson told the students to just do the transcript part of the discussion and full credit would be given. This was wonderful news for a lot of the students in the class. The professor was available any time day or night, which was a comfort to all students. Positive feedback was given as well as constructive criticism, which helped the students get excellent grades. My grade in this class was an 86.9, B+

    Course highlights:

The highlights in my opinion are, the professor was wonderful. She made sure that she was always available for every student. She would respond to the student's questions in a very timely manner and she would walk the student through whatever the problem was. In addition the students were always helping the other students. University of Phoenix is a wonderful school.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Students that are considering this course need to be aware of the hours that this course requires. This course has a lot of reading material and the student needs to read all of the reading material and take notes or print the information and put it in a binder. The quiz was very easy to read and understand and if the student has notes or printed material, the student can use this as a reference for the questions on the quiz. Some of the answers are writing paragraphs, so just be sure that the writing is in paragraph form, and the paragraph has correct spelling, as well as, APA Format.
