    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course has so much material and information that if you have never taken a nutrition course, it can be a bit overwhelming. I have a full time job as well but, I am homeless, and on some days its almost impossible to get onto a library computer. However, if determined, its possible.

    Course highlights:

The knowledge! I learned so much from this course. You will be surprised at how important it is to know what to eat, how to eat, and when. Nutrition is not about starving yourself or feeling punished because you think you cannot eat what you want, its about accepting the knowledge of how, when, and what. Those favorite foods you like are not out of reach but, moderation is key knowledge in the nutrition game. GOOD LUCK!

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

I have advice about this course, only if planning to do the course online. It helps to read ahead an take notes for participation grades. I find it easier to do one assignment at a time. I developed a pattern for myself and I hope it will help someone else. I try to complete my course assignments first then, I engage in the class participation, this way, makes it easier to elaborate on the discussions in your own words (that is what most professors are looking for).

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

She wasn't too tough on grading the assignments and offered a lot of feedback to each student. She's very active on the forums as well.

    Course highlights:

I learned overall nutrition but the iProfile was definitely a very helpful tool that I hope to be able to use throughout the school year to actually keep track of my DRI.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

When taking the online tests, take your time and use the "Link to text" function if you're not sure of an answer. Each test really only takes about 15 minutes to complete but the professor gives you 60 minutes!
