    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class was fairly hard. This specific instructor was very particular about citations, and participation being substantive. She did not allow students to use their personal opinions or views, she wanted cold, hard, citable facts. The material that was covered in this course was interesting, and I felt like I learned many new things.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about various mental disorders such as schizophrenia, and bipolar. Substance abuse was also covered in this course.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Take the time to answer participation questions carefully, and with a lot of thought. Go find actual factual research instead of using your own words or paraphrasing what you have read on the web. Make sure that you always use proper citations in participation posts as well as assignments. This instructor is very strict with proper citations.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I lived this course because it explored the heart of what I enter school for. It explored abnormalities in the brain and psyche that effect how we behave and interact with the world around us.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about neurological disorders and their causes and what can be done to cure or treat them. Every issue doesn't have a cure but with treatment those suffering can lead fairly normal lives.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

PUT IN THE WORK ON YOUR PRESENTATIONS AND BE CREATIVE.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The course challenges you to really look into the details of abnormal psychology. It allows for reflection on information you may have already studied and furthers it with new and exciting components.

    Course highlights:

It broadened my knowledge on cognitive, behavioral, and neurodevelopment.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Read your course material, make notes, and openly participate within the study forums. It will help to remember all of the components you cover. Retention is key!
