    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course was excellent in preparing me to complete my Bachelor's program, and continue on to my Master's program.

    Course highlights:

There were so many different aspects addressed within this course, I do not know if I can select just one as a highlight. However, I did learn about many behavioral theories, and even some techniques to utilize in my personal life.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you set aside time for coursework. It can build up rather quickly if not completed consistently. Note cards are also very helpful for identify theories/techniques.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This is a great course; however, if possible, I would highly recommend avoiding this particular professor. Unless you take it upon yourself to get the most out of the class, which I hope you do already, you will not gain the knowledge this course intends. The course itself is invaluable. You absolutely need this information, as it will pertain to everything you do going forward.

    Course highlights:

Clinical Psychology is extensive and very interesting in its entirety. During this course, you get to learn the differences between clinical psych and other types of psych, how clinical psych is constantly evolving, the role that research plays, the different approaches, limitations and strengths of the different psych assessments, the legal and ethical issues, and professional boundaries of clinical psych.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

During this course, you will be required to interview to psychology professionals, one of which needs to be a Clinical Psychologist that has been in the business for at least 5 years. Start looking for people to interview during your first week, if not sooner than that, and be sure to contact multiple professionals, as you will have people that will not follow-through with their agreements to be interviewed. Have back ups and get started early. That is my best advice to you for this course. Also, make sure to understand what you are reading and are being taught. Reference your previous courses often, as you WILL use all of the information you have learned for this degree during your Capstone!
