    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because It gives you the skills needed to be successful as a helper. It prepares you for what to expect and how to proceed, in this helping profession. I received a lot of vital information needed to help me to get to know myself and to be a better person.

    Course highlights:

How to build a rapport; how to get your client to open up, how to work with diverse groups of people. It also gives you insight on the code of ethics and to structure your interview to cover important aspects of a clients problems.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Take the time out to study; work closely with the group for team assignments, pay attention to the discussions, ask questions if you don't understand, and most of the information you need is found right in the chapters.
