She gives great outside material like links to articles and documentary style videos for supplemental course study. She also does her own share of cited research for the class discussion boards which is refreshing because the student really feels like she is in the course with them.
The most valuable thing that I took from this course was the human impact on environmental geography. The ways that we can either help or hurt the sustainability of our planet based off our geography. From planning cities to conducting our everyday lives through GIS and GPS data systems, geography spans a much wider scope of knowledge than just being able to say where certain cities are and state capitols.

Be sure that you have established time set aside for this course because even with the discussion board contributions, your responses need to be cited and researched. There aren't very many courses that do that, but this one causes you to, essentially, write mini research paper for almost everything you do.
