Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is an excellent course. There is a ton of reading that nobody can get through so I advise you to pick and choose what is important and easy for you to read and skim through the rest. Do the required reading and assignments first and go back and read what you have time to next.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about organizational theories and how organizations work. This is a high level theoretical class so do not expect to solve your organization's problems after this one class. It is a great academic view of organizations.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are considering this course it is obviously part of your curriculum for one of the DM programs at U of Phx. All I can say is do your best on all the assignments. APA is still a large part of all your assignments and this class is no exception to the rule. If you are a master at APA you will do fine.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend this course to students learning about organizations, behavior, and theory. This course is a requirement in the DM and DM/IST program so student's don't really have a choice but to take it anyway.

    Course highlights:

I learned more about organizational theory than I knew existed. This course was fair and assignments were appropriate since no long formal papers were due in this version of the course which promoted learning and in-depth research.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I strongly encourage students to stay on top of the reading and assignments. The first two weeks were reading weeks, however; I strongly recommend working ahead on the future assignments to allow for plenty of research time. The assignments in weeks 3 and 4 require several hours of research to find original resources.
