    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I am passionate about the content of this course, and it was very informative, I felt like I grew a lot from it. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because it is a class with a pretty heavy workload, and I feel it would be more beneficial as a semester long class, as opposed to the 5 week crash-course style that is offered online.

    Course highlights:

I learned about literary devices and strategies for analyzing drama, poetry, and short stories. Basic high school English proficiency was all that was needed to understand this class. This class got more in depth about picking apart works than high school classes. An interesting thing I learned was the different literary theories that can be used to interpret works.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

If you are taking the online course, make sure to not overbook yourself! There is a lot of reading and the chapters are long. The week that you go over short stories has an exceptional amount of reading, don't make plans that week!
