    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    Yes, the Professor is hands on. The more you put in this course is the what you get out of it.

    Course highlights:

    The highlights of this course was learning how emotions are used as part of advertisement. I learned that in advertising using, music, emotions, etc makes what your advertising more memorable.

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

    You have to actively participate in the course, if you don't you will be lost.. You must read content and ask a lot of questions if you don't understand something.

    I learned about the different communication research methods and how to do a content analysis.

    Make sure to read the chapters assigned and to reach every requirement in the assignment instructions.

    Course Overview:

    I would recommend taking this course because it is very important to know how to do communication research. If a student is planning on becoming a Journalist or another career that requires communication research this is the class to take.

    Course highlights:

    The highlights of this course are focusing on research methods in the communication discipline and enhancing understanding. I learned how to determine between quantitative and qualitative research. I also learned about Aristotle's identification of logos, pathos, and ethos used in research and Burke's dramatic pentad analysis.

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

    The most important thing to learn is that this course involves team work. If you work well with your team you will succeed in this course. Study tips: have good communication skills and talk with team members consistantly.
