    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I personally don't love statistics, but if you need to take it, Kurt Witney is a fair and honest instructor. He responds fast to emails and helps explain what you don't understand.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about statistics and experiments, hypotheses, probabilities etc.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't let yourself get behind. Make sure you understand it before you move forward.

I would recommend this course, but it requires a lot of study time and dedication to thrive in this class.

I learned a lot about histograms, standard deviation, z-scores.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

My main advice would be to study a lot and be prepared to set time to work on this course.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is a very good course! The teacher knows what he is talking about, and even though my class was almost three hours long once a week, the class typically did not drag by. The professor offers extra credit, and my friends who took the AP version of this class said they had a hard time with their AP class while this college version was very easy.

    Course highlights:

I previously took honors statistics in high school, so taking this class was a review. I liked re-learning everything from a different perspective than my high school statistics teacher. We always did "data projects" every week which was the best part because they were similar to the tests and helped us study. I also didn't need to buy a textbook for this course which was great and we were supplied the PowerPoints for each section.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always do the data projects because they have a similar setup to the tests. The professor also says that if you are doing well in the class then you don't necessarily need to do the mystatlab homework that you get online weekly, because he can see through your test grades that you understand the material. If you are not doing so well in the class I strongly recommend doing all of the homework.
