Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend taking this course as it is a pre requisite for a lot of graduate schools. Organic Chemistry helps us understand more of the mechanisms and structures in chemistry.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was the daily quizzes as it helped me keep up with my reading and notes. The professor is a wonderful professor as she goes at a reasonable pace to help students understand and achieve new skills in the chemistry field.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It is a different way of studying, it is a lot of memorizing but a lot of piecing things together also. Drawing helps a lot and seeing the 3D structures of each compound will help greatly. Do not fall behind on the readings and go to office hours when you need help!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Organic Chemistry offers a whole different way of learning. You get in touch with your other half, the right side of your brain. This course and professor encourages and proves that practice really does make progress. The concepts aren't just there to be memorized, this course helps understand these concepts in a different way with different meanings.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course would be the Chem Expo that we could participate in for extra credit, and the small homework assignments, because it helped me see and learn that there are many people out there who enjoy science because it applies to everything. The homework helped me keep up with my notes and be able to study for the exams by encouraging me to practice a lot of problems.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Take a lot of notes, do the homework, and review and read ahead the material every night because there are quizzes every class. Don't lose focus. Also, seek help when needed. There was an SI and office hours available for the students who were struggling.
