    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This is a great beginner's course in the sense that it helps students get a grasp of the basics of design. However, it's an incredibly general class not tailored to any specific major, as well as requiring the student to buy supplies that should've been in the freshman kit. Other than that, good class.

    Course highlights:

It's a beginner's course, so don't expect too much. Basic terminology is the main thing taught in this class. Aside from that, the class is a great excuse to practice drawing. And as long as it's original and fits the assignment, you can draw whatever you want.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do your work in class. While my professor allowed students to leave and work on the drawings at other times, you literally get 4 hours a week to work on the assignment, anyways. I wouldn't waste that time, if I were you.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It's a class that consists of a lot of drawing but your name doesn't have to be Leonardo Da Vinci to pass. Our job was to draw simple illustrations which can actually be quite fun. At the end you should have a binder to put all the drawings that were assigned in class together because that is what your grade is based on. Any drawings that you have missing will make your grade lower.

    Course highlights:

I learned that simple is good sometimes because as an artist I often try to over-do-it when it comes to designing.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

When taking this course pay attention to exactly what he's looking for in the design. Always remember that every design that you complete needs to be in the booklet to get the grade you deserve.
