Not too easy. Not too difficult.
I would recommend this course, which I took during my year abroad, because it provides a thorough grounding in medieval history. The professors are very helpful and the course is extremely organized.
We covered the fall of Rome and the numerous kingdoms that sprouted up in its place. We also covered the Frankish Empire, the rise of the Arab Empires, the Spread of Christianity and Islam, Viking invasions and settlements and their impact, Anglo-Saxon invasions and subsequent kingdoms in England. Of course, we also discussed the Black Plague and what day-to-day life may have consisted of back then.

Advice for students:
Make sure that you read the textbook - it is extremely helpful and the professors don't all that is in it. Also, prepare fully for the seminars (there aren't that many); it comes more in handy for the final exam than it does for the seminars though.
