Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class for ANYONE that is interested in how our food and nutrition affects our everyday life and how simple it is to be in charge of your life simply by what you eat. This course opened my eyes to how simple basic nutrition is and how critical it is in order to live the best and healthiest lives that we can.

    Course highlights:

I learned what different types of food do for your body(carbs, lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids), daily recommendations of nutrition, about vitamins and minerals and deficiencies in both, learned about healthy food proportions and also food substitutions. I learned about many more objectives but these were the highlights of the course.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I highly recommend flashcards. I know everyone says these are helpful but a major portion of this class is memorization along with understanding. Try to make sense of the concepts and try to piece information together so that it'll be easier for you to pass this course.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course was online and was slightly difficult when it came to keeping on top of the work. But it proved to be highly beneficial for advances in a health occupation.

    Course highlights:

The dietary analysis where we had to track our diets for a few days really opened my eyes to my food and diet choices and was very interesting.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay on top of your work! With it being an online class there is not a teacher with you everyday to remind you to listen to the lecture of finish a quiz, so you have to take initiative and keep up on your own.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

For students interested in nutrition, even if it isn't their major, the course is very interesting and provides a good background on nutrition.

    Course highlights:

How food is digested and broken down, along with learning about diseases correlated with different foods and food deficiencies.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't study the day before an exam, they hold a lot of detailed information that can't be learned and memorized in a short period of time.
