    | Would highly recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Took this course because I needed credits so I could maintain financial aid and it was the best course I took at UMaine. It's a fascinating course whether you are into birds or not. We spent a lot of time traveling around on mini field trips searching for birds. The course isn't difficult but we did have to complete a project and the lab is early in the morning. Brian is smart and witty and absolutely entertaining. If Brian is still teaching this course then don't hesitate....take it!

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was a day trip up the coast. We saw so many cool birds on the trip and had a wonderful time.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to study bird songs. I recommend Larkwire (an app for your phone). It quizzes you on bird songs and is really helpful. Don't bother buying the textbook. You don't need it.
