Not too easy. Not too difficult.
This was a very interesting and informative course that allowed me to gain a comprehensive knowledge of Jazz history. The class was paced well and went into depth on not only history of the music, but also the musicians themselves and what each individually contributed to the art.
I gained a comprehensive working knowledge of where Jazz came from, how it came to be, and why it was a music that was unique to the United States and found its origins nowhere else in the world. I learned about the various instruments that formed the art as well as a very basic understanding of some music to help further understanding of the course.

Advice for students:
The best advice that can be given for this course is to look for ways to immerse yourself in Jazz, whether by listening to it or attending performances. This is a class I personally would take in the fall semester as attendance to a live jazz performance is required.
