    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Accounting was not a easy or simple course for me. I didn't find any interest in the subject going in, but it was a required course. However, my mind set changed once the course began. Gary Ford was not only very knowledgeable, but also extremely enthusiastic. He made accounting interesting and made me want to learn more.

    Course highlights:

I learned that a great professor can make a huge difference. Gary Ford is very passionate about accounting and he was a great teacher. Whenever I had a question, he was more than happy to help me out and talk to me until he was sure I understood the material. He never rushed or belittled any questions. He is a great professor and he was a great factor in me doing well in the course.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Study hard and never be afraid to ask questions. If you don't understand something, it is going to come back to hurt you. Many things in accounting are connected and confusion in one area will most likely link to another area. It was a hard course for me to understand and I reviewed every single problem I completed twice. Studying a bunch was a crucial factor to my success. Accounting is not a subject to take lightly. The homework is crucial and if you study it hard you will do well.
