    Course Overview:

    Quantum mechanical treatment of two and three dimensional systems. The hydrogen atom.

    Course highlights:

    Spin. Many-electron atoms and the periodic table. Introduction to perturbation theory and Fermi’s golden rule. Introduction to nuclear and particle physics.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    Make sure to keep track of the many assignments and keep your notes handy form last term
