    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    A systematic introduction to nuclear and particle physics for advanced physics students

    Course highlights:

    Topics include basic nuclear properties: size, mass, decay and reactions; shell model of nuclear structure; magnetic moments; gamma and beta decay; quark model of elementary particles; and strong, electromagnetic and weak interactions.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

    Many new terms were introduced however built off PHYS 345/424, make sure to do keep track of all the readings and stay on top of them as they will include the new concepts discussed in class
