    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Be prepared for each class by knowing the material and terminology because the instructor will periodically use it in class. Only to emphasis that the material is essential for the medical billing and coding work environment.

    Course highlights:

I am learning the inpatient hospital billing process and the formal use of the UB-04 form used in the process. As well. the information details of filing out the UB-04 form which are essential elements to the third party's such as to Medicare and the insurance companies.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read ahead of the assigned chapters, review medical terminology, financial terminology related to insurance and attend class. I stay ahead on my assignments so to keep up with the in class assignments. As well, I am reviewing the financial elements and medical terminology to keep my self up to par as I enter the Allied healthcare work environment.
