This course was amazing! The book is simple to read and it breaks down fitness into four major categories that are explored in depth in the seminar. I would highly recommend taking this class early on if you plan on focusing on health.
I learned about the recommendations for fitness, cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength and endurance, nutrition, and flexibility. Each category is accompanied by the lab. The labs are very insightful because they allow you to use the knowledge you learn from the text and apply it to real life.

Advice for students:
There is a writing assignment due each week but they are not difficult. They are self-reflective essays that explain to the instructor how you completed the lab material. Again I would say that it is important to take this class early on because it offers a lot of basic material that will be useful in other classes.
