    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this to all Health Science majors because it is so interesting and fun to learn from Justin. I've learned more information than I ever have in my life.

    Course highlights:

I loved learning how the body works in many specific ways. We go through all of the body's systems and how they are all related. It is very helpful for later careers in any health professional field.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would go to every open lab because they are extremely helpful. I would study the material everyday in some way. I would also recommend asking questions and going to office hours whenever you need it.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course. Justin Ulbright offers a lot of information on his subject but in a way that does not make it hard to understand. He is also very accessible, as are his teacher assistants whenever you need help.

    Course highlights:

The highlight was that I feel like I gained a much better understanding of anatomy and physiology than I thought I would and that everyone in this class was very nice and approachable (professor, teacher assistants, and classmates alike).

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Attend class as much as you can. The labs for this class contain a lot more information than the lectures so it will feel like you are working much harder in your labs but do not let yourself neglect lecture.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Justin is a very laid back professor who you can relate with. When he teaches he uses examples and stories to emphasize the material. He gets to know each and every one of his students and their learning methods.

    Course highlights:

In this course I learned more about the nervous system and how it controls our entire body. While learning this he used contextual information as to why certain diseases/conditions happen. We learned why hiccups happen and why drinking cold water helps to get rid of them.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Review your notes from the previous class before each class period. Pay attention to detail and the wording of his note packets-that's how they show up on exams.
