Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class was invaluable to me, especially as a commuter for my freshman year. My professor and academic advisor was incredible; he really took the time to get to know each student individually and advise us to the best of his ability. He keeps up with us well and has been a friendly face of relief to me as I navigate this first year at Whitworth.

    Course highlights:

In this class we learned tips on how to focus and manage our time properly, how to balance personal health and the responsibilities of school and life in general. We measured media consumption and the negative, as well as positive, effects that has on balancing health and performance. My professor took especial care to make sure that he saw we were taking care of ourselves and not just our studies and vice versa.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

It isn't difficult to get a good grade in this class. The challenge comes from the ability to be honest with yourself and with your professor and peers. With any class, but I would say especially one like this, the more you put in, the more you will get out. It's easy to pass, but also easy to waste everyone's time, including your own, by not putting in the effort for a valuable experience.
