    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would strongly recommend taking Griffis as your Bio 151. He is very informative, helpful, and wants you to succeed. He makes the material easy to understand and relates it to every day life. The labs were fun and I actually learned a lot from each one due to the way he set them up.

    Course highlights:

The biggest highlight of this course was his stories. They always related back to the material that we were learning at the time, so it really helped me better understand. His stories usually made everyone laugh which is always a plus while sitting in a three hour biology class. I learned tons about the ecosystem and the environment, which was great since that is also my passion.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

One should go into this course feeling optimistic and ready to learn. The course is not very difficult if you apply yourself and participate. He gives you detailed outlines for the test and labs, so I would always take advantage of that since not all professors do that!

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I enjoy learning about biology and Professor Smithson brought a lot of humor to the class. I found the grading to be somewhat hard, but overall I enjoyed her course!

    Course highlights:

This course has taught me many things, but had also review things that I learned in high school. I enjoyed all of the lab work because it allowed me to be able to understand the materials better.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

If you take this class make sure you're ready to give 110%. There's a lot of lectures and note taking, so be prepared! Although this class can be tough, in the end you'll appreciate how much you've learned.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It taught me a lot about biology, and it was all very interesting course work. I personally love science, so I found this class to be very interesting.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about genetic makeup and DNA. I also learned a lot about the human body, taxonomy, and evolution.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You just need to put time into the class every week. Make sure you stay on top of all your assignments, take notes, and if you don't understand something, ASK. That is the most important thing. Or, consult your textbook if you need more clarification!
