    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend this course because Dr. Pincus is an incredible professor who is essentially overqualified for teaching such a course. He provides profound information while simultaneously keeping the students engaged each class period. With this being said, the class is in no way an easy intro class but it is most certainly well worth your time. This course grade is the cumulative score of four tests, including the final, given throughout the semester, so I highly recommend setting aside sufficient time to study, especially if you're not particularly fond of test taking. Luckily there are multiple forms of approach to Dr. Pincus's tests since there are only four tests throughout the semester. You have the option to either, study a little bit each night to best keep up with the material, or focus your attention to other potentially more difficult courses and study hard a few days before the exam to achieve that A you want.

    Course highlights:

Ironically enough, my highlights of Dr. Pincus's "Intro to Psych" course always came during pre test periods. I suppose this is the case because I would learn and begin to internalize the most material when studying with friends a few days before each test. We learned things from, the process of Neuron synapse, to Freud's stages of development, to debunking the counterfeit truths behind psychic mediums, and everything in between. The in class review sessions were also incredibly helpful because Dr. Pincus is more than willing to answer any students' question to the best of his ability, and in fact, invites and blatantly encourages us to ask whatever questions we may be having even minimal difficulty understanding. Despite this course being held in a lecture hall (my largest class), I thoroughly enjoyed the comfortable environment that Dr. Pincus created, which allowed students to form academic and social relationships with each other. Psych 101 was unquestionably a win win for me in a variety of ways.

    Advice for students:

I highly advise all incoming Psychology students to take this course. Psych 101 with Dr. Pincus reaffirmed my love for Psychology and greatly prepared me for every Psych course I've taken following his class. I learned a great deal of pertinent information, formed a strong connection with Dr. Pincus whom is a highly accredited professor with access to many psych, research, and academic opportunities, and to top it all off, met some of my best friend's. Intro to Psych with Dr. Pincus is a must take!
