Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course with professor Jimenez because of the detailed syllabus and expectations on the first day of class. He is very helpful and willing to spend the extra time needed on what may be struggle points for the class.

    Course highlights:

The course captivated specific essay techniques that are helpful throughout all courses. Breaking down the basic college structure of an essay that can lead past the 5 paragraph concept of essays. Detailing and taking the time in a successful introduction, body, and conclusion that will convey what the student is trying to inform.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The advice to consider is taking notes in the class and from the book. The reading material is interesting and not overwhelming and one should read it. Office hours were a great help to identify if one was deviating from what the topic or thesis should be. Always have an open mind and opinion because it will make class discussions more interesting. Judgement is never an issue in this class and everyone is respectful of others' personal insight.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I know this is a required class, but Professor Agregan gives a deeper meaning to the material.

    Course highlights:

Through the essays where you have to take a stand and defend it you really learn about what your core values are and it strengthens them. The reading material requires higher level thinking.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

DO NOT PROCRASTINATE. Stay on top of the reading and think deeply about the overall message. He is very unbiased when grading, so turn in things on time.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Centeno is a hardworking professor that wants everyone to succeed. He is very understanding of any setbacks happening in his student's life and is there to support anyone. Centeno pushes everyone to think outside the box by being insightful and understanding.

    Course highlights:

Highlights of the course would be the helpful class conversations we would have in regards to completing an essay. In these conversations, we had the opportunity to express our concerns each student was having when completing an essay or the opportunity to find a starting point in an essay. At the end of the class, I learned to perfectly analyze a text and construct an essay efficiently.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

This course requires dedication and hard work in order to complete the assignments. Some background knowledge in a analyzing a text and constructing an essay is required.
