Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

A really interesting course to venture into the constructs and complexities of society and one's own place in society in the midst of modernity.

    Course highlights:

Watching documentaries helped me understand more tangibly intangible concepts. Writing essays are usually no fun, but writing in this class allowed me to explore my personal identity as shaped by cultural, societal, political, and economic nuances.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Read! It's important to read the text and study the various theories put out by important sociologists.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Kahla is a very educated and passionate woman. She not only teaches you about the world around you but makes you feel inspired to act towards a greater good for the world.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the problems in the world that I had not been exposed to in my little bubble. I also learned to research for myself and not listen to heresay but rather statistics.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention in class , this is the most overlooked, yet most obvious practice that students don't learn until it's too late or simply ignore way too often. Don't be worried about how color coded your notes are, worry about what the professor is trying to say and communicate.
