Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is a great overview of HR practises in Canada. I think this course is useful for students in business programs, but also for working professionals or anyone who wants to learn and improve on their HR skills. A lot of what we learned is very applicable to the workforce and even everyday life. The textbook we used was a little dry, but full of relevant information nonetheless.

    Course highlights:

My highlights were all the group activities we did in class. Also the group project. I know group projects are not a common favourite for most people, but I really liked being able to choose a topic I was interested in and researching and earning grade in something I already do in my spare time was great.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The biggest key to success with this course is definitely keeping up with the readings. A chapter a week really piles up, especially since the final and midterm are about 7-9 chapters each. Create flashcards, and try and fulfill the learning objectives and you will definitely succeed!
