Not too easy. Not too difficult.

this course was highly informative and gave great insight into the world of psychology.

The highlights were holding a real human brain and, surprisingly, the group presentations.

    Advice for students:

Take notes for tests! Also, pay attention to the powerpoints.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I enjoyed this course immensely! The instructor explained things in an understandable way and kept the class interesting. He also pushed us to do our best.

    Course highlights:

It was after taking this course that I decided to major in psychology. Learning about human behavior and multiple theories was amazing. The highlights for me were being able to do "case studies" and focusing the end of the quarter project on a disorder of my choice.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention in class! It is much easier to understand what is going on in the chapter if you take notes during lectures.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I am getting my degree in healthcare however, psychology is a prerequisite that I must take. I have learned so much. For starers, I learned that psychology is a science. It has a lot to do with the human body. So if you are interested in the brain, psychology is a must.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this class is definitely the discussion questions. Here the teacher posts a topic such as what of the 5 personality traits do you identify with and why? You must answer the question and then comment on 2 other peoples answer to the discussion. This is a fun assignment because you are able to get to know your peers and see how they think.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

My number one advise is, if you want to be a psychology major, don't take the summer program. Yes, it is the same program in the fall but the teacher has to compress a 4 month lecture into little less than 2 months. So much new information will be introduced to you, so retaining the information will be difficult. Therefore, if you really want to know psychology, take this course in the fall or spring.
