    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Chad will push you to your utmost limits, wherever those may be. In the process, he becomes a wonderful friend and mentor. The trick is to let him guide you and to never take for granted how valuable a class of such rigor can truly be.

    Course highlights:

Pharmacological synthesis. In class, you will go step by step through Nobel Prize-winning syntheses. You tackle real-world problems.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

DO NOT MEMORIZE. It doesn't work. Learn how to discover and apply patterns. Never ever get discouraged. There have been times that I received C's on his midterms, and times that I received A's, yet I still got an A in the class. If you are the kind of student that deserves an A, Chad will find a way for you to make up any mistakes you may have made.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it focused on how to move onto the next chemistry courses. It focused on challenging problems that would prepare us for our upper division classes.

    Course highlights:

My highlight for this course was learning about peptide chemistry. It's something I found interesting and our professor explained it in very practical terms.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It will be a lot of work and consume a lot of time but the outcome is very rewarding.
