    | Would highly recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Speech really doesn't have to be as scary as every one assumes it is. This Professor is best professor that I have taken for a required class. She made Speech fun and interesting. If you show up and do the work, which is really not hard, you will do just fine.

    Course highlights:

You learn how to be comfortable in front of an audience. You also learn what works best for you in situations where you have to speak in front of a large group.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be open for improvement. No one is perfect; especially in Speech.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is a very boring class and not much goes on every day, the speeches were easy and you got to pick the topics you wished to talk about which made the class more interesting.

    Course highlights:

I loved being able to pick my own topics and speeches, it made the class more enjoyable and you got to learn a lot about your fellow peers.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention in class and read the text book.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I like the way she teaches and the course, but I do not like her attitude. She seems very fake and some timing to me. All in all, the course its self is very interesting. Things that I took for granted, not by choice, were brought to my attention. Now, I always consider them when communicating.

    Course highlights:

I learned what real communication and real power is. I learned how power shifts through a given context and how communication isn’t just merely talking. Also, I learned public advocacy is challenging cultural assumptions to affect change

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are choosing Michelle Biferie you MUST read the chapters before you come to class, you WILL BE LOST. If you are not to deal with people’s attitudes, I suggest you find an another teacher. Make sure you take good notes and study hard!
