Course Overview:
Mrs.Porro is a phenomenal teacher and truly makes sure her students understand the curriculum. She is very approachable and can be reached easily. She provides extensive practice to prepare you for tests and exams and the instructions for homework and classwork were effortless to follow.
Course highlights:
This course is a step above high school algebra. The highlights of the course would honestly be receiving my test scores and seeing that I'd done so well in her class. I learned that diligence and consistency pays off when it comes to learning.

Advice for students:
In order to succeed it's recommended that you use all the resources possible. If you do not understand something ask your professor, a tutor, or a classmate. Be sure to do the practice test before actually taking the real one. Do not wait to do all of the homework's the night before, do them after class or the day off.
Pretty easy, overall.

Professor Chan is amazing, there is no way you can’t pass his course. He’s extremely helpful and will help you understand math in the way ways. I took him for two different math courses and got As in both, he’s just a really professor for math.

The highlights of this course would have to be attending the class itself. The professor always made the class feel welcoming and comfortable to learn.

If you’re attending Palm Beach State College and need to take college algebra, take professor Chan. He’s the best you could get.

Course Overview:
Dr. Heath goes above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to being a college algebra professor as she is always available to her students and wants to see everyone succeed. She personally dedicated her time to assuring there are outside sources of help available as well to her students when there were circumstances that she could not be reached, for example at 3 in the morning when everyone knows they should not be bothering a professor.
Course highlights:
I have learned new tricks to remembering how to factor polynomials in a more efficient manner as well as knowing that there are still professors out there in the field that want to see each and everyone one of their students succeed.

If you are taking this course I would recommend selecting Dr. Heath as your professor as she is extremely helpful and very thorough in her ways of teaching guaranteeing you learn everything she has taught.
