    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It was a great picture on how to serve others and be more in God's word

    Course highlights:

I loved the Church Essay where we were asked to go to a different church or a church in general and interview someone from the church and see more about how their routine of culture is.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay on top of the course work. If you can do things earlier and get them out of the way because it is jam packed with course work.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Bib 100 can be an irritatinng courae because it requires a lot of study, reading, and writing, as do most courses. Greg Camp made the class more interesting with his narrative-style teaching. He does a great job of recognizing brilliant connections in the book of Matthew from events to Matthews structures of writing and he explains the significance of everything.

    Course highlights:

The first assignment in te class is to write a paper on your own idea of who jesus is. Many people said friend, savior, enjoyable, kind, loving, etc. Throughout the course, I came to understand how my idea of Jesus was slightly off. He was kind, but he also found clever ways of telling people how unintelligent they were and why. He always scolded his disciples for being faithless and he never used the word "friend" in the traditional sense, at least in Matthew. For example, he called Judas "friend" when Judas aproached him to betray him, knowing fully of Judas' intentions. This course did well in aiding me in my pursuit to understand the bible on another level because it tought me a new way to aproach the text.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the material and spend more than a day working on the papers. The class is not meant to convert you to Christianity, so do not go into it with your mind already set about how you will receive the information. Go into it understanding that the class is purely informative anout the text and it realy does help to better your skills of analysis.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is a mandatory course at FPU. If you get Rachel York as your instructor, she is amazing when it comes it teaching this class. You will definately enjoy this course if your into that material.

    Course highlights:

Learning about the gospel of Matthew as if it were a history class and not bible study.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you actually study when its time for test because her tests are essays! she gives you the prompt a couple days in advance so you can study and ace that test
