Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend Samuel Musgrave's Ancient Civilizations class because he is a great professor who cares about what he does and his students. He tied in the Bible with what we were learning and brought it into a higher perspective so we can learn and understand the material better.

    Course highlights:

I learned about St. Augustine and his confessions. Augustine's Confessions helped me view how life was like in his time which was about 400 AD. His confessions helped me see that we are all human and will make mistakes, so it is okay to pick yourself up and keep going.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Try to read the material before class even if you do not have too because you will get more out of the material. Also make friends in class because you will need study partners to fully understand what is going on. Take all the details he points out seriously because it will show up somehow on the exams.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I only recommend it for those who love history and are eager to learn more about the origins of man and how civilizations have begun and progressed over the centuries. The class was great, we read rich texts that personally made me appreciate the ancient times more.

    Course highlights:

A highlight of the course was reading the Ramayana. Never before had I really learned about ancient India and I was really fascinated by the legend of Rama and how much of an impact it has had upon Indian culture even to this very day.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it if you can, and if you love to learn. The class consist of fun activities and great discussions, so it won't be a bore at all. This particular professor is wonderful at promoting discussions and making sure everyone has a voice, which I really appreciated. Do your homework too!
